Growing up in Norway with parents who remodeled homes, designer Kristin Strand moved often; each new house a blank canvas and a fresh chance to create something beautiful. Her design journey has always been rooted in curiosity, creativity, and making the most of what a space can become.

What started as a bit of a space-planning challenge ended up becoming a beautiful anchor for this open-concept home —

That last day before school’s out always feels like the real deadline to get everything done. I’ll still be working over the next couple of weeks, just at a slower pace while soaking up intentional time with family visiting from Norway ❄️
